Terms of Service
Quiet Digest takes links you save, turns them into a single e-book, and emails it to your Kindle. These terms cover what the service does, what you are responsible for, and the limits of what it can promise.

What Quiet Digest does
Quiet Digest is operated by Max Luong, an individual based in Vietnam. It is not an incorporated company.
You give the service links to articles and videos. It fetches each one, extracts the readable content, rewrites it for comfortable reading on an e-ink screen, assembles the results into a single EPUB file, and emails that file to the Kindle address you provide, on the schedule you choose.
The service is in a pre-launch private beta. There is no public sign-up: joining the waitlist places you in a queue for an invitation. Features, limits and prices may change before launch, and the service may be paused or discontinued.
Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old to join the waitlist or use Quiet Digest. The service is not designed for, and is not offered to, children.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the email addresses you give us, both the one you sign in with and the Kindle address digests are sent to, and for keeping access to your account secure. Digests go to whatever Kindle address is on file, so an out of date address means your reading arrives somewhere you did not intend.
The links you save, and the rights you need
When you save a link, you are asking us to fetch that page on your behalf and reformat it for your own reading. You confirm that you are entitled to access that content.
Quiet Digest fetches pages the way a browser does. It does not defeat paywalls, log in as you, or circumvent digital rights management. If a page is not readable without a subscription you hold, it will not become readable through Quiet Digest.
The source material stays the property of whoever owns it. Publishers' and platforms' own terms continue to apply to it. A digest is for your personal reading only, and is not a licence to republish or redistribute anything inside it.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content processed by Quiet Digest infringes your rights, write to support@quietdigest.com with enough detail to identify the material and the request. We will review it and, where appropriate, remove the material and restrict the account involved.
Digests are generated for one reader and emailed to that reader's own device. They are not published, indexed, or shared with other users.
Automated rewriting, and what it gets wrong
The readable version of each item is produced by a large language model. That means it can be wrong: it can summarise inaccurately, drop qualifications that mattered, compress nuance, or state something the original did not say.
Treat a digest as a comfortable way to read what you saved, not as a source of record. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. Where accuracy matters, read the original.
Things outside our control
Quiet Digest depends on services nobody here operates, and any of them can change or fail.
- Websites can block automated fetching, change their markup, or go offline, and an item may then fail to process.
- YouTube can change how captions and metadata are available. Some videos cannot be transcribed at all.
- Delivery to a Kindle goes through email and through Amazon's systems. We can send a digest; we cannot guarantee Amazon accepts and displays it, or that it arrives at an exact minute.
- A delivery time is a target, not a commitment. The service is provided without any uptime guarantee.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Quiet Digest to:
- infringe copyright, or to bypass paywalls, access controls or DRM;
- harvest or bulk-scrape a website through the service;
- process unlawful material, or material you have no right to access;
- redistribute generated digests as a publication or a service of your own;
- attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service or the systems it runs on.
Plans and payment
Nothing is being charged today. There is no checkout, and joining the waitlist does not start a subscription, reserve a price, or authorise a payment.
Prices shown on the site describe what plans are expected to cost when Quiet Digest opens. When billing does start, it will be through a separate, explicit checkout, with its own terms covering renewal, cancellation and refunds. You will not be charged without choosing a plan first.
Intellectual property
The Quiet Digest name, software, design and generated layouts belong to the operator. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of any of it.
You keep whatever rights you already had in the content you save. If you send feedback or suggestions, we may act on them without owing you anything for it.
Disclaimers and liability
Quiet Digest is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost data, or for anything arising from content that failed to process, arrived late, or was rewritten inaccurately. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, which during the pre-launch period is nothing.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can stop using Quiet Digest at any time and ask for your account and data to be deleted by writing to support@quietdigest.com.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or withdraw the service entirely. If the service shuts down, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the version and effective date at the top of this page change with them, and the superseded text is kept so it stays possible to establish which version applied at a given time.
For a change that materially affects you, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect where that is practical. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, and disputes arising from them fall to the courts of Vietnam. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections that the law of your home country gives you and that cannot be contracted away.
